Akobi Burton, with an extensive background in the Special Operation Forces community, leverages his dynamic experience conducting operations, change management, policy writing and oversight program management to produce solutions for critical problems.
He has a proven record of succeeding in extremely challenging and dynamic environments, leveraging, and enabling the workforce to accomplish organizational goals. His ability to strategize and guide organizations through periods of change repeatedly results in rapid expansion and growth post transition.
His passion for supporting others often results in him working as an ombudsman representing the interests of requesting organizations to national agency senior leadership. His keen understanding of the impact of organizational culture on strategies has enabled him to navigate particularly challenging circumstances and produce long-term organizational change.
Sought as an advisor, Akobi helps leaders define organizational visions and goals, while developing strategies which incorporate thorough risk assessments. He guides them through the implementation of risk mitigation measures and develops Standard Operating Procedures to support sustainable and repeatable success. Along the way he has also successfully revamped and further developed an oversight program for the U.S. Army, conducted over 125 missions, managed over 35 sensitive operations globally, established multiple inter-agency agreements, trained over 300 service members and provided input for over 45 national directives or policies.
